Fellow AI features

An overview of the AI-powered features available in Fellow

Fellow's AI features work together to help you prepare for meetings, capture everything that happens, and turn conversations into action - automatically.

The Note Taker automatically records, transcribes, and summarizes your meetings in 93 languages. After a meeting ends, it generates a full Meeting Recap including a summary, transcript, key decisions, and action items - so you can stay focused on the conversation instead of taking notes.

The Note Taker is compatible with Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Slack huddles. You can configure it to join:

  • All meetings on your calendar

  • Only meetings you organize

  • Only meetings you manually enable

  • Meetings matching custom rules you define

Ask Fellow is your AI meeting assistant - available from the top right corner of every page in Fellow. It can answer questions about your meetings, draft documents, manage your workspace, and complete tasks through chat.

What you can do with Ask Fellow:

  • Search your meeting history: ask questions like "What did we decide about the pricing model?" or "What action items came out of last week's standup?"

  • Draft documents: generate summaries, decisions docs, or wiki pages based on meeting content, then export to Notion, Confluence, or Google Docs

  • Get help with Fellow: ask how to use any feature and get answers directly in chat

  • Manage channels: create channels, view details, and manage membership

  • Create video clips: clip specific moments from recordings by timestamp or topic

  • Organize recordings: add recordings to your Watch Later list and manage your queue

  • Find people: search for teammates by name, role, or org hierarchy

Ask Fellow also remembers your preferences across conversations. Manage what it remembers in Settings > Ask Fellow > Memories.

The Library is where all your recorded and uploaded meetings live. From here you can browse, search, and share recordings, organize them into channels, and filter by meeting type.

Library filters include: All meetings, My meetings, Favorites, Shared with me, Watch later, External, and Uploads.

Even if Fellow wasn't present in a meeting, you can still get AI notes, a transcript, and a recap by uploading an audio or video file. Uploaded recordings are processed the same way as live recordings - with speaker detection, action items, and full searchability through Ask Fellow.

Supported formats: MP3, M4A, WAV, and MP4.

For recurring meetings that have a previous recording, Fellow can automatically send you a summary of the last meeting along with suggested follow-ups before the next one. Configure the timing in User Settings > Note Taker > Pre-meeting briefs.

Security and privacy

Fellow never uses your meeting data to train AI models. All AI features are covered by Fellow's SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and GDPR compliance.
