Tags help you categorize notes, highlight key items, label decisions, and quickly find what you need across your entire workspace. Tags are workspace-wide, meaning everyone can apply them and see tagged content they have access to.
Create a tag
There are three ways to create a tag in Fellow.
Using the # symbol
Within a note, press # on your keyboard and start typing your tag name
If the tag doesn't exist yet, click Create new workspace tag
Choose a colour for your tag, then click Create
A confirmation notification will appear at the bottom of the screen, and your new tag will be visible in the note
Using the Slash (/) menu
In a note, press / to open the Slash menu
Scroll down to the tag option, or type "tag" to filter the list
Type your tag name, choose a colour, then click Create
A confirmation notification will appear, and the tag will show up in your note
From the Workspace Tags page
Click Tags in the More Fellow menu to open the Workspace Tags page
Click Create tag in the upper-right corner
Type your tag name, choose a colour, then click Create
Your new tag will appear in the workspace tag library and can be applied to any note going forward
Note: Tags are visible to all workspace members, but users will only see tagged content they already have access to.
Apply a tag
Within a note, press # and start typing.
Select the tag you want from the dropdown.
Edit a tag
You can update a tag's name or colour at any time - changes apply workspace-wide to every instance of that tag.
You can also edit tags directly from the Workspace Tags page.
View tagged content
Click a tag in a note
Click on any tag to see all content in your workspace marked with that label β including action items, talking points, and notes you have access to.
Search for tagged content
Open Fellow's main search with Cmd/Ctrl + K.
Type the tag name (with or without #) to see all matching content.
You can also filter by tag in the My Action Items section.
View all workspace tags
Click # Tags in the main menu to open the Workspace Tags page. From here you can browse, create, and edit all tags in your workspace.
