Managing a meeting involves more than just showing up. There's reminding participants to prep the agenda, following up with stakeholders after the call, and making sure meetings with nothing to discuss don't take up space on your calendar. Meeting automations take care of all of that for you.
With Fellow's Meeting Automations, you can configure actions to happen automatically before or after any meeting so you can focus on the conversation, not the logistics.
What Meeting Automations Can Do
Meeting automations are configured per meeting, meaning each automation only applies to the specific meeting series. You can enable or disable them at any time based on your team's needs.
Auto-record your meetings
Ensure the Fellow Note Taker joins and records your call automatically. Instead of manually inviting the Note Taker each time, enabling Auto-record schedules it to join at the designated time so you never miss a recording, transcript, or AI-generated summary.
Once the meeting ends and the recording is ready, a recap email is sent to attendees based on the organizer's settings in the Note Taker tab in User Settings.
If Send Recap is manually toggled on or off from the Automations tab in Settings, it will override the user-level settings.
Send a recap after the meeting
Automatically send a meeting recap via email to participants after the meeting ends. The recipient options available to you here are fully dependent on the your workspace policies:
By default when configuring from the Automations tab, you can choose from three recipient options:
All attendees: all users, including external participants
Internal attendees: all users whose domain matches the approved domains, regardless of whether they're in the workspace
Attendees in Fellow:all users whose domain matches one that exists in the Fellow workspace
Share to a Fellow channel
Keep everyone in the loop by automatically uploading clips, transcriptions, and recordings to a designated Fellow channel once the meeting ends. This is useful for sharing key updates with stakeholders who weren't in the room.
No agenda reminder & cancellation
At Fellow, we believe in "no agenda, no attenda." If a meeting has no agenda items, it may not need to happen at all. This automation identifies meetings with no agenda and either:
Automatically cancels the meeting on your behalf, or
Sends attendees a prompt to cancel manually
Pre-meeting reminders
Remind attendees to review and contribute to the agenda before the meeting starts. Pre-meeting reminders can be sent via email, Slack, or MS Teams.
Post-meeting recap
Send a meeting recap to attendees and non-attendees after the meeting has ended. Recaps can be delivered via email, Slack, or MS Teams.
Add to section reminders
Configure a specific section in the agenda where attendees are required to contribute before the meeting. Sections with this automation enabled appear with a purple lightning bolt icon.
You can choose a time interval before the meeting to trigger reminders, which are sent via all channels email, push, Slack, and Teams.
Disabling Automations
You can turn off any automation at any time. In the automations panel, simply toggle off the automation you no longer need. Changes take effect immediately.
