Version History

View and restore previous versions of your meeting notes and recaps

Version History lets you browse and restore earlier versions of your meeting content. Fellow automatically tracks changes over time, so you can see what was edited, who changed it, and revert to a previous state if needed.

There are two types of version history in Fellow:

  • Note history: tracks changes made to your collaborative meeting notes

  • Recap history: tracks versions of AI-generated meeting recaps (only available when a recording exists)

Note: this feature is available on the Team plan and above.

How to access Version History

  1. Open a meeting in Fellow.

  2. Click the 路路路 (more actions) menu in the meeting header.

  3. Select Version history.

What you see next depends on whether the meeting has a recording:

  • With a recording: a submenu appears with both Note history and Recap history options

  • Without a recording: only Note history is available

Note: You need edit permissions on the meeting to access Version History. Note history also requires the appropriate workspace plan - users without access will see an upgrade prompt.

Note history

Note history shows a chronological list of all changes made to the meeting notes, including who made each change and when. You can select any previous version to view its content.

How versions are created

Fellow creates version snapshots automatically as you edit. Snapshots are grouped based on inactivity periods, the size of edits, time elapsed, or schema changes - so you don't need to manually save versions.

Restoring a version

Selecting a previous version and restoring it applies that content as a new edit. Your full version history is preserved - restoring never deletes the changes that came after.

Recap history

Recap history shows the different versions of the AI-generated recap for a recorded meeting. You can preview any previous version and switch to it, which makes it the active version visible to all meeting participants.

How recap versions are created

A new recap version is created each time the AI summary is generated or regenerated. Only one version is active at a time - that's what participants see when they access the meeting.

Template customization note

If you've customized your recap template, those customizations are not saved with each individual recap version. When you restore an older recap, the template structure from the most recent version is applied to it.
