How is my bill calculated?

Understanding your billing cycle, proration, and user counts

Fellow bills your workspace at the start of each monthly billing cycle based on the number of enabled users in your workspace at that time. Think of it as pre-paying for a set number of teammates to use Fellow each month. Enabled users are calculated daily and billed monthly.

What counts as an enabled user?

An enabled user is any teammate who has been added to your workspace and has not been disabled. If you disable a user or they leave your workspace, you can replace them with another user at no extra cost.

What happens if users are added mid-cycle?

If the number of enabled users increases during a billing cycle - for example, a new teammate joins - you'll receive a prorated charge that month to cover their enabled period.

Administrators can add or remove users at any time within the manage users page.

What happens when a user leaves?

If someone leaves your workspace and their account has been disabled, their seat is freed up. You can invite a new teammate to fill that seat at no extra cost.

How do I control who joins my workspace?

As an administrator, you have full control over your seat count within your workspace. Head to workspace settings > security to configure your signup and invite settings to your liking.

When are proration charges applied?

Proration adjustments are applied on your billing date each month. For example, if your subscription started on March 15th, your bill will be issued on the 15th of each subsequent month. If there is an outstanding balance due to proration adjustments, you'll receive a bill reflecting those charges. For monthly plans, proration adjustments are added directly onto your regular bill.
