What Happens When My Trial Ends?

What to expect when your Fellow trial transitions to the Free plan

Written by Dev Team
Updated this week

When your trial ends, your workspace automatically moves to the Free plan. Your data is never deleted - all notes, recordings, and meeting history stay intact. You'll just lose access to the features that are specific to paid plans.

If you'd like to keep those features, you can upgrade at any time from Workspace Settings > Plans & Billing. Not sure which plan is right for your team? View all plan options here.

To check how much time is left on your trial, look for the countdown indicator in the left-hand navigation bar in Fellow.

What Changes When Your Trial Ends

Here's what to expect on a feature-by-feature basis once your workspace moves to the Free plan:

  • Meeting note history will become limited only recent notes will be accessible.

  • Due dates will remain locked at their last-set date and can't be updated.

  • Note version history will no longer be accessible.

  • Sharing meeting notes will no longer be possible, though any notes already shared will remain visible to those they were shared with.

  • Note templates can no longer be created, though existing templates remain accessible.

  • Exporting notes to Google Docs will no longer be available for Google accounts.

  • Integrations will be disconnected and can no longer be accessed.

  • Guest users will be automatically disabled and will lose access to cross-workspace collaboration.

  • Comments, public links, sections, and embedded media can no longer be created or configured.

  • Fellow AI features will no longer be accessible.

  • Note: The free AI meeting note credits you receive when first signing up never expire - these can still be used after your trial ends.

If Your Workspace Has More Than 10 Users

The Free plan supports a maximum of 10 enabled users. If your workspace exceeds this limit when the trial ends, all team members will see a warning banner in Fellow.

At that point, a workspace admin will need to either reduce the number of enabled users to 10 in Workspace Settings > Manage Users, or upgrade to a paid plan to keep everyone connected. If no action is taken, Fellow will automatically begin disabling users after two weeks.
