Who can perform administrative tasks?

How admin access works across free and paid Fellow plans

Access to workspace settings in Fellow depends on which plan your workspace is on. Here's how it breaks down.

Admin Access on the Free Plan

On the Free plan (including during a paid plan trial), all workspace members have access to workspace settings by default. However, add or remove admin privileges for other users are restricted to users who have been explicitly assigned as administrators, even on the Free plan.

Admin Access on Paid Plans

On paid plans (Team, Business, and Enterprise), access to workspace settings is restricted to workspace administrators only. Non-admin members will no longer see or access workspace settings after a workspace upgrades from Free to a paid plan.

When a workspace upgrades, the user who completed the upgrade is automatically granted administrator privileges and retains access to all workspace settings, including billing. Any users who were already explicitly marked as administrators before the upgrade will also retain their admin role.

How to Assign or Change Admin Roles

Admin roles can only be assigned by an existing workspace administrator. To learn how to update a user's role, see Who Is My Fellow Account Admin?
