Fellow's Zoom Chatbot allows anyone in your workspace to send meeting notes to a Zoom Chat channel - making it easy to share agendas before a meeting and follow-up notes after.

Note: Installing the Zoom Chatbot requires admin permissions in both Fellow and Zoom.

Installing the Zoom Chatbot

The Zoom Chatbot is a workspace-level integration, meaning it only needs to be set up once by an admin. All workspace members will have access once it's connected.

To install:

  1. Go to Workspace Settings > Integrations and navigate to the Zoom Chatbot card and select it

  2. Click Connect in the top right corner.

  3. Complete the Zoom authorization flow. The connecting admin must have permission to view all users, view chat channels, and manage chatbots in the Zoom account.

Sending a note to a Zoom Chat channel

Once the chatbot is connected, a Zoom option will appear in the Send Notes modal - available in all notes and in note series automations.

To send a note:

  1. Open a meeting note and click Send Notes

  2. Select Zoom and choose the channel you'd like to send to

  3. Click Send

The note will be posted to the selected Zoom Chat channel and will stay in sync - if the note is updated in Fellow, the message in Zoom will update automatically. The note is visible to everyone in the channel, but only users with access to the note in Fellow will be able to view and edit it within Fellow.

Note: The channel list shows channels the current user is a member of in Zoom. If the email address used in Fellow differs from the one used in Zoom, only public channels will be visible. To access the full list of channels and link your Zoom account to Fellow, install the Fellow App for Zoom - this also enables meeting notes to appear automatically during Zoom calls.

Uninstalling the Zoom Chatbot

There are two ways to disconnect the chatbot:

  1. Uninstall it directly from the Zoom Marketplace by following Zoom's uninstall instructions.

  2. Go to Workspace Settings > Integrations, navigate to the Zoom Chatbot page, and click Disconnect in the top right corner.

Once disconnected, Fellow will no longer be able to post notes to Zoom Chat, and the Zoom option will no longer appear in the Send Notes modal for workspace members.
