Adding your Zoom call recording to Fellow

Troubleshooting issues adding Zoom recordings to notes

Written by Julia
Updated this week

When you record a Zoom meeting, a link to the recording is automatically added to the associated Fellow note once the meeting ends. This requires the Fellow Zoom app to be installed, up to date, and connected to your Fellow account.

Note: This feature adds the Zoom recording link to your note - not a transcript. If you need a transcript of your Zoom meeting, consider using the Fellow Note Taker, which records, transcribes, and summarizes meetings directly within Fellow.

Requirements

For Zoom recordings to appear in Fellow automatically, you'll need:

  • The Fellow Zoom app installed and up to date

  • Zoom webhook permissions properly configured

  • The Zoom app connected to your Fellow account

Recording link not appearing in Fellow?

If your Zoom recording link isn't showing up in your note, the Fellow Zoom app may need to be updated to grant the necessary permissions.

  1. Visit the Fellow app on the Zoom Marketplace and click Update, or follow the update notification if one is available in your Zoom app.

  2. Once updated, new recordings from your Zoom meetings will appear in the associated Fellow note shortly after the meeting ends.
