The Salesforce integration lets you keep all your customer information in one place by automatically sending your meeting notes and AI-generated recaps to Salesforce. It also surfaces information about the contact you're about to meet with directly alongside your notes in Fellow, so you can easily prepare for an upcoming customer call.
Plan availability: The Salesforce integration is available on the Business and Enterprise plans.
Integration Options
There are two Salesforce integration options available, depending on your plan:
User-level integration
Available on Business and Enterprise plans. Each user sets up their own connection between Fellow and their Salesforce account. This allows you to:
Automatically capture and send meeting notes and AI recaps to Salesforce
Associate notes with the relevant Salesforce records (Contacts, Leads, Accounts, Opportunities, or Cases)
View contact and account information alongside your meeting notes in Fellow
Workspace-level integration (Enterprise feature)
Available on Enterprise plans only. Set up by a Fellow admin in Workspace Settings > Integrations. In addition to everything in the user-level integration, this tier offers:
The ability to edit Salesforce fields directly within Fellow
AI-powered field suggestions based on your meeting notes and transcript, making it easier to keep Salesforce records complete and up to date
Setting It Up
User-level integration
Each user who wants to connect Fellow to their Salesforce account needs to set this up individually. To get started:
Go to User Settings and select Apps and Integrations
Select Salesforce and follow the prompts to connect your account
Configure your settings
Workspace-level integration (Enterprise only)
A Fellow admin can set up the workspace-level integration in Workspace Settings > Integrations. Once the workspace integration is configured, individual users still need to complete the user-level setup to connect their own Salesforce account.
Open your Workspace Settings and click on Integrations
Click on Salesforce
Press Connect
Login to your Salesforce account
Click Sync with Salesforce. Once you have pressed this button, you will see a spinning wheel while syncing is in progress.
Then comes the customization!
Select which fields and objects should be visible or accessible within Fellow. To do this, click on the "X Objects selected dropdown" and check off the relevant boxes
Determine the configuration - View only, Editable, or AI suggestion.
View only: reps can view this information in Fellow but can not change the content or review an AI suggestion
Editable: reps can manually edit this field. Currently only text and number fields are supported.
AI suggestion: based on the meeting note and transcript, Fellow will provide AI suggestions for content to be entered. Currently only text and number fields are supported.
If you select this option, you will need to add a prompting question about what information should be entered.
For example, "Who has the authority to make a decision?", "What are the current tools and products that the customer is using?"
Once you are happy with all the configurations, click on Save configuration in the upper right hand corner.
Viewing Salesforce Info Alongside Your Notes
When a calendar event includes an external attendee who has a matching Contact or Lead in Salesforce, Fellow will automatically display a panel alongside your meeting notes with relevant information about that person. The panel can include their Account, Contact, Opportunity, Lead, or Case details everything you need to show up prepared.
AI Suggestions and Editable Fields (Enterprise feature)
Workspace-level integration only. After your call ends, Fellow uses your meeting notes and/or transcript to suggest updates to your Salesforce fields. You can review each suggestion and choose to edit, reject, or accept and sync it to Salesforce.
Sending Notes and AI Recaps to Salesforce
There are two ways to send your Fellow notes and AI recap to Salesforce: automatically or manually.
Sending automatically
You can configure the integration to automatically send your notes and AI recap to Salesforce 3 hours after the meeting ends. If there are no AI recap or written notes, nothing will be sent. To enable this, go to User Settings > Apps and Integrations > Salesforce and turn on the automation.
Sending manually
To send notes manually, disable automatic sending in your User settings > Apps and Integrations > Salesforce integration settings:
β
Once this is disable, you can then:
Navigate to a meeting that includes an external attendee with a matching Contact or Lead in Salesforce.
Click Send note to Salesforce.
Choose whether to send as a Salesforce Task (Call) or a Salesforce Note (see below for the difference).
Choose whether to include the AI recap.
Sending as a Note or a Task (Call)
When sending your notes to Salesforce, you can choose between two formats. Here's how they compare:
| Note | Task (Call) |
Formatting | Preserves basic formatting from Fellow | Formatting is not preserved |
Activity feed | Does not appear in activity feed | Shows up in the activity feed of an object |
Can relate to | Contact, Lead, Account, or Opportunity | Contact or Lead, and/or Account, Opportunity, or Case |
What's included when you send your Fellow notes to Salesforce, the following is included:
All written note content
A link back to the note in Fellow
If you've selected to include the AI recap: the summary, chapters and their notes, decisions, and suggested action items, plus a link back to the AI recap in Fellow
Configuring Salesforce to Show Your Notes
If you send your notes as a Note, they'll appear under the Notes and Attachments section in Salesforce's Related Lists. To make them visible on your record pages (such as a Contact or Opportunity page), you'll need to add the Notes & Attachments list to your page layouts in Salesforce.
In Salesforce, click the Settings gear icon and select Setup.
Click Object Manager and select the object you want to update (e.g. Contact or Opportunity).
Open the object's page layout.
Drag the Notes and Attachments related list onto the layout.
Click Save.
