Full vs Partial Note Access

Learn what users can see depending on their level of note access

Fellow offers two levels of note visibility: full access and partial access. The level of access an attendee receives depends on how they were added to the meeting in your calendar.

Full access

An attendee with full access can see all past notes shared in the meeting series, as well as any future notes added.

To grant an attendee full access, select the All events option in the original Google or Outlook calendar invite.

Note: When a note series is shared using the Share button in the top-right corner of the note, users are always granted full access to all notes in the series - regardless of whether they are guests or workspace members.

Partial access

An attendee with partial access has limited visibility depending on which calendar option was selected when they were added.

  • This event: the attendee can only see the note from that specific meeting occurrence.

  • This and following events: the attendee can see the note from the current meeting and all future occurrences.

How to check if an attendee has full or partial access

To see an attendee's access level for a specific note:

  1. Look at the user icons in the top-right corner of the note - these show who currently has visibility

  2. Click the Share series… button in the top-right corner menu of the note series

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the list to find the Access to some notes and recaps section.
