Users and Teams

Add, edit, disable, and organize everyone in your Fellow workspace

Note: You must be a workspace administrator to perform the actions outlined in this article. When new users are added to a workspace, Fellow will automatically update your account and Fellow subscription if applicable. If you have any questions about adding members to your account, please send us a message using the small intercom bubble or at [email protected]!

The Users & teams page is where workspace administrators manage the people in a workspace. Members, guests, and disabled users appear in one list you can search and filter. From here, you can invite people, edit their profile and permissions, disable and re-enable accounts, and work with your teams.

How to access

An administrator can navigate to workspace settings via your workspace name on the top left side within the Fellow workspace. From there, select Users and teams:

Find someone

All users share one list. Use the Search box to find someone by name or email.

Use Filters to narrow the list, for example, to guests, to disabled users, or to admins.

Add users

Invite one person

  1. Click New in the top-right corner of the Users tab.

  2. Fill in their name, email address, title, department, manager, and permissions.

  3. Click Add user to send the invitation.

Add several users at once

You can import a CSV file to add users in bulk, disable users in bulk, or export your full user list. Open the More actions menu on the Users tab and choose Import users from CSV file, Disable users from CSV file, or Export CSV of all users. The article Manage users from a CSV file walks through each option.

Sync users from Google Workspace or Microsoft 365

If your company uses Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, user sync adds and removes people for you. Open Workspace settings > Integrations, stay on the Workspace tab, and look for User sync. See Google Workspace Sync or Microsoft 365 Sync for the steps.

For a detailed walkthrough on these user syncs, please see these articles depending on your workspace:

Edit a profile, manager, or permissions

  1. Find the person in the list.

  2. Click the three-dot menu at the end of their row and select Edit user.

  3. Update their personal details, their manager, or their permissions, for example, from member to admin.

Disable and re-enable users

Disabling a user keeps all of their data. They can no longer sign in until you re-enable them.

Disable a user

  1. Find the person in the list.

  2. Click the three-dot menu and select Disable user.

  3. Confirm by clicking Disable user in the dialog.

Re-enable a user

  1. Find the member using the filters

  2. Click the three-dot menu on the person's row and select Re-enable user.

  3. Confirm.

Teams

This tab lists the existing teams in your workspace. Teams are used for objectives and meeting guidelines: an objective can be assigned to a team or list teams as contributors. Here you can create a team, edit its name and members, and archive it.

This tab will only appear when objectives are turned on for your workspace.
