If you want more control over who opens a meeting recap you have shared, you can add an optional password. Anyone opening the link from outside your workspace has to enter the password before the recap loads, so you can send a recap to external clients or stakeholders while keeping control over who sees it.
Set a Password on a Recap Link
Open the meeting recap and click the Share button in the top right corner.
Set access to Anyone with the link.
Turn on the password option and enter a password.
Copy the link and share it. Send the password to your recipients separately so the link and password don't travel together.
If you need help creating the password, you'll be able to click to 'generate a strong password'. That way, you don't have to worry about it.
Who Has to Enter the Password
The password only applies to external or anonymous viewers opening the link directly.
Workspace members who are logged in are let in automatically.
Everyone else has to enter the password to view the recap.
Once an external viewer enters the correct password, the system will remember it for 24 hours and won't be asked again if they revisit the link during that window.
Change or Remove a Password
Reopen the Share dialog on the recap.
Update or clear the password field.
Changing or removing a password immediately ends all existing viewer sessions. Anyone who previously entered the old password will need the new one to get back in.
Require Passwords Across Your Workspace
This workspace-wide setting is only available on Enterprise plans. On other plans, editors can still add a password to individual recap links, but the account-wide enforcement toggle below is not available.
Enterprise admins can require that every public recap link in the workspace has a password, so no link can go out unprotected.
Go to Workspace Settings.
Click Security.
Under Sharing and collaboration, turn on Require passwords on all public recap links.
Turning this on affects existing links right away: any public recap link that doesn't already have a password becomes inaccessible to external viewers until someone adds one.
