Troubleshoot: Meeting Stats

Troubleshooting tips for Meeting Stats

Meeting Stats pulls attendee information by matching names between Fellow and your call platform. Most issues stem from a name mismatch between the two. This article covers the four most common problems and how to fix each one.

Duplicate user(s)

  • If a user's name in their call platform (e.g. Google Meet or Zoom) does not exactly match their name in Fellow, Fellow treats them as two separate attendees. For example, if someone is listed as "Emily Smith" in Google Meet but "Em" in Fellow, both names will appear separately in the stats.

  • To fix this, the affected user should update their name in Fellow or in their call platform so the two match exactly. Once the names match, they will be identified as one attendee going forward.

Missing user(s)

  • If two users share the exact same name in both Fellow and their call platform, Fellow identifies them as one person rather than two, so only one entry appears in the stats. For example, if two people are both named "Emily Smith" in both Fellow and their call platform, only one "Emily Smith" will appear as a participant.

  • To fix this, one of the users should update their name in Fellow and in their call platform so the two names no longer match exactly. This allows Fellow to distinguish between them going forward.

Attendee shown as absent

  • The stats may show that “Emily” was absent, but “Emily Smith” spoke in the meeting, despite this being the same person.

  • To fix this, the user should update their name in Fellow or in their call platform so the two match exactly. Once matched, they will appear as a single attendee.

Join or leave time shown as incorrect

If a user joins the call before the AI Note Taker or leaves after it, Fellow has no record of their actual join or leave time. In these cases, the times default to match the Note Taker's own join and leave times:

  • Joined before the Note Taker: join time will display as 0:00

  • Left after the Note Taker: leave time will display as the time the Note Taker left the call
