Microsoft To Do

Keep your tasks in sync between Fellow and MS To Do

Fellow's Microsoft To Do integration helps you streamline the heavy lifting when managing tasks between platforms. When a new action item is assigned to you in Fellow, it automatically creates an identical task in the Microsoft To Do list you've selected. As you mark items complete, their status updates in both tools thanks to a bi-directional sync keeping everything consistent without any manual effort.

Note: This integration is only available to Microsoft accounts and workspaces. It is not available on Google accounts.

What the Microsoft To Do Integration Does

  • Select a Microsoft To Do list to stay in sync with

  • Automatically create Microsoft To Do tasks from Fellow action items assigned to you

  • Automatically keep task names, due dates, and completion status in sync between Fellow and Microsoft To Do

Please note: We are currently unable to sync action items that have multiple assignees or that are assigned to other users in your workspace. We're hoping to make this available in the future!

How to Connect Microsoft To Do

Setting up the integration only takes a few minutes. Follow the steps below to connect your Microsoft To Do account to Fellow.

  1. Navigate to Apps and Integrations from your User Settings

  2. Scroll down to the Automation section and find the Microsoft To Do card.

  3. Click Not Connected on the card. This will open the Microsoft To Do integration page with more details about the integration.

  4. Click Connect in the upper right-hand corner.

  5. Sign in to your Microsoft account. You will then see a Permissions Requested screen. Click Accept to continue.

  6. Select the Microsoft To Do list you'd like to sync with Fellow. Any action item created in Fellow will sync to this list.

Syncing Action Items to Microsoft To Do

Once connected, Fellow will automatically sync action items assigned to you to a dedicated list in Microsoft To Do called Fellow Action Items. Here's what you can expect:

Option 1: Sync all action items automatically

Leave the Enable action items to sync toggle turned on (green). With this option, every action item assigned to you in Fellow will automatically sync to your Microsoft To Do list. The integration will show as Active.

Option 2: Sync selected action items only

To sync a specific action item, click the three dots (⋮) at the end of the action item line and select Link to Microsoft To Do.

Syncing and Managing Tasks

Bi-directional sync

This integration supports a two-way sync for task names, due dates, and completion status. When you mark an action item complete in Fellow, it updates in Microsoft To Do, and vice versa, so you can work from whichever tool is most convenient.

Force syncing action items

If an action item hasn't synced as expected, you have two ways to force a sync:

  1. Force all un-synced action items: Visit User Settings → Apps & Integrations and click on the Microsoft To Do card. You'll see the number of action items that haven't synced yet. Click Sync to push them all over.

  2. Force an individual action item: Click the three dots (⋮) at the end of the action item line and select Link to Microsoft To Do.

Disconnecting the integration

You can disconnect Microsoft To Do at any time by navigating to User SettingsApps & IntegrationsMicrosoft To Do and selecting Disconnect. Existing tasks in Microsoft To Do will not be deleted; they'll simply stop syncing with Fellow.
