Fellow supports emojis across your notes, note titles, and as reactions to note content. Emojis can help add clarity, personality, and visual cues to your meeting notes.

How do I add emojis to a note?

There are two ways to add emojis directly into a note.

Add Emojis to a note

Option 1: Using Semicolon

The semicolon method: type a colon (:) followed by the name of the emoji you would like to insert. For example, typing :squid will produce 🦑 and :smiley will produce 😃.

Option 2: Native OS Emoji picker

Use your native OS emoji picker.

  • On a Mac, choose Edit > Emoji & Symbols, or use the keyboard shortcut: `Control + Command (⌘) + Space`.

  • On a Windows machine, you can use the shortcut `Win + .` to invoke the emoji picker.

When you open the emoji picker, it will look something like this:

Add Emojis to a Note Title

You can also add emojis to note titles. To do this, you will need to use your native OS emoji picker as discussed in Option 2 above.

  1. Click on the name of the note. This will give you the option to Rename

  2. Click where in the title you would like the emoji.

  3. Then open your native OS emoji picker using `Control + Command (⌘) + Space`. on a Mac or `Win + .` on Windows.

Add Emojis as a Reaction

Emojis can also be added as reactions to any note content. Like this:

To add reactions:

  1. Find the text that you would like to react to and click on the three dots at the end of the line.

  2. Then select Add a reaction

  3. Choose your reaction. Once added, the reaction will appear right under the text
