Getting Started
To connect Fellow with Slack, you can either find Fellow in the Slack App Directory or connect directly from within Fellow:
Go to User Settings > Apps & Integrations
Scroll to the Automation section
Click the three dots in the upper right corner, then press Connect
Depending on your workspace settings, you'll see one of the following:
Press Allow to complete the connection: you'll see a confirmation message at the bottom
If your workspace requires admin approval, submit the request, and your Slack admin will be able to approve it
What the Slack Integration Can Do
Once connected, Fellow's Slack integration works in two directions: bringing Slack activity into Fellow, and pushing Fellow content into Slack.
The Fellow Slack Bot
The Fellow Bot appears under the Apps section of your Slack navigation. It's designed for users who want to stay in Slack - you can get reminders and contribute to agendas without switching tools.
Fellow Digest
The Fellow Digest is a daily or weekly summary delivered via the Fellow Slack Bot. Each morning, you'll receive an overview of upcoming meetings and action items
Reminders
The bot sends reminders about upcoming meetings to encourage preparation.
Add content to an agenda
On the day of a 1-on-1, the Slack bot will send you a message about the upcoming meeting. You'll see a [+Add] button - click it, type your talking point, and it's added to the agenda directly from Slack.
Slack Actions
If you come across a Slack message that deserves in-person discussion, you can turn it into a meeting agenda item without leaving Slack.
Click the three dots in the top right corner of any Slack post. If you don't see Fellow actions listed, click More Message Shortcuts and search for "Fellow."
Fellow's Slack App Home
The Fellow Slack App Home gives you a big-picture view of your workday, including upcoming meetings, recent activity, and quick actions.

Automations
For each note series, you can set up automations that send directly to a Slack channel. This is especially useful for reminding teammates to contribute to an agenda before a meeting. To set this up, open the note series settings and configure your automation to send via Slack.
Send notes
Meeting notes can be sent from Fellow to a public channel, a private channel, or directly to a person.
Open the note in Fellow and click on the paper airplane icon
Select Send via Slack
Type the name of the user or channel (note: don't include the @ or # symbols - those are Slack conventions and aren't needed in the search)
Click Send
Notes are delivered by the Fellow Bot, so they'll appear in the recipient's Apps section in Slack rather than in your direct message history.
Sending to a private Slack channel
Private channels are marked with a lock icon in Slack. To send notes to a private channel, you'll first need to invite the Fellow Bot:
Once the bot has been added, go back to Fellow and select Send via Slack - the private channel will now appear in the dropdown
