Botless recording lets you capture meetings directly from the Fellow mobile app, with no bot joining the call. You still get an audio recording, transcript, and AI notes. This is now available on both iOS and Android so that you can record from either platform.

How to Enable
Make sure you're on the latest version of the Fellow mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.
Confirm botless recording is turned on for your workspace. Some admins restrict this setting; if you don't see the botless option, check with your workspace admin.
Launch the botless recording from your note or directly from your library for an impromptu meeting:
Recording Controls and Limitations
Pause, resume, and stop your recording at any time from within the app
Muting your mic during a recording, available on the desktop app, isn't currently supported on mobile.
Native phone calls aren't supported. Botless recording on mobile captures audio through your phone's microphone, but can't capture a call made through your phone's native calling app.
Applying an AI Notes Template During a Recording
You can now choose which AI Notes Template to use while a mobile recording is still in progress.
While recording, tap the menu icon in the top-right corner.
Tap Apply AI Template...
Choose a template from your available AI Notes Templates. The modal closes, and Fellow generates your notes using that template.
Note: you can only select from templates you've already created. To create a new AI Notes Template, use the desktop app or a web browser.
Recovering Failed Recordings
If a botless recording on your phone doesn't upload, iOS and Android will both attempt to re-upload it automatically the next time you open the app. You can also check for and manage these recordings yourself:
Open the account menu in the mobile app.
Look for Recover failed recordings. This only appears if there's a recording on your phone that hasn't uploaded yet.
Choose to save each recording to your phone's storage or discard it
A few things to know:
Only botless recordings started from that same phone can be recovered this way.
Don't uninstall the app if you have recordings you still want to recover. Uninstalling removes any unsaved recordings along with the app.
